An Infrared sauna is not designed to reach the maximum temperature displayed on the keypad because then the heater would turn off because it has reached it’s maximum temperature.
Setting the temperature to its highest temperature allows the heaters to stay on for the duration of your sauna session but it will not reach the highest temperature. Infrared Heat is not beneficial if it is too high because it heats the body and NOT the air. Optimal temperature is between 120° and 135° fahrenheit.
Continuous heating allows for maximum infrared therapy benefit

Below are instructions on cleaning and maintaining the interior of your sauna cabin, utilizing the sauna cleaner and varnish that is available. Please reach out to your sales rep or dealer for pricing and how to order.
How to Apply Sauna Cleaner
Sauna Cleaner can be used straight from the bottle for tough jobs or diluted up to 5 to 1 for basic upkeep:
1. Simply wipe where the sweat is… Gentle on wood. Rejuvenates your sauna. To be diluted up to 5 to 1 for basic upkeep. Dampen a small towel with the solution and wipe where the sweat stains are. **Do not use on heaters**
2. Many cleaning products contain bleach or ammonia which will dry and damage the wood in your sauna. Clearlight sauna cleaner uses natural oils to gently clean the wood without drying it out. This keeps your sauna looking new and avoids the splintering and cracking that can occur with other cleaning products.
3. In addition to keeping your sauna looking new, our sauna cleaner also has natural fragrance oils that deodorize while it cleans.
**PLEASE NOTE: Spraying is not recommended as any spray that gets onto the heaters will cause heaters to erode and is not covered under warranty**.
How to Apply Interior Low-VOC Varnish
This interior low-Voc Varnish requires a two coat process:
**This first step does NOT apply to new saunas**
1. Lightly sand the bench, floor, and wood heater guards using 150 grit sandpaper. Just a light, quick sanding is all it needs. If there are any stains, you may want to give that area a little more sanding so you don’t varnish in the stain.
2. Apply the varnish to the bench, floor, and heater guards using a brush.
3. Run the sauna for 2 hours at full temperature.
4. Lightly sand the sauna using the 150 grit sandpaper.
5. Reapply the varnish.
6. Run the sauna one more time for 2 hours at full temperature.
